Name: Magnar
Age: 24 human years
Species: Siberian Tiger
Gender: Male
Reference:
History: Magnar was birthed on the eve of the first winter moon, by a tigress name Eulain. He came into this world with a beautiful sister, her coat a pale orange as if kissed by the light of the moon. The young male however, had a pelt of ash and shadow. When Eulain saw her cub's odd coloring, she felt a streak of dismay. Would this child be as the pale born (albinos)? So vulnerable to sunlight and disease? Or was this an omen, of the darker things he may bring? Temptation to end the cub now, while he was young and innocent to the world came over her... but as she felt the warmth of the two infants at her side, such thoughts soothed into affection. Her daughter she called Launa, meaning "Moon Kissed", for her pale orange pelt. Her son she named Magnar, meaning "Strong Natured", for when he grew older, he would need great strength in whatever path he walked, to survive.
As the cubs grew, Magnar and his sister Launa remained as close as any sibling pair. Their mother rescued them from all manner of troubles the young tigers got into, while fiercely protecting them from any threat that came near. She taught them to hunt, and without surprise, Launa was a natural. However, in the snowy forests that they lived, Magnar's dark coat stuck out against the ivory powder. Through trial and error, Eulain learned how to teach her son to hunt from shadows and thick foliage. Yet, his struggles through that experience, made the young male begin to realize how different he was from his mother and sister. When it came time for the cubs to leave Eulain, Magnar and Launa left together, remaining at each other's side for several years.
When the siblings finally went their separate ways (as most Siberians do), Magnar fully understood how different he was from others of his breed. Throughout his time with his sister, the two had encountered many other tiger's, and nearly every one met him with hostility and mistrust. If Launa had not been there the first few months, Magnar would had surely been killed. But slowly, working together, the two grew stronger and more skilled. Until extinct and the desire for territory, pulled them apart. On his own Magnar traveled far, and battled often. However, the continuous strifes and harsh reactions of those around him began to take it's toll.
Little by little, Magnar began to grow bitter. Began to enjoy the fighting.
This was about the time that he was found by a small group of other strange felines who also bore pelts of ash and shadow, moonlight and night. On reflex he snapped at them, snarling them away with a demand to leave him be. Yet, something drew him toward this gathering of odd females. Though most tigers were not clan cat's by instinct... when they turned to leave, he silently followed after them.
Likes: Cold Weather, Dueling, Fish, Patrolling, Listening to the Others Speak.
Dislikes: Summer Heat, Backing Down, Idleness, Hare, Being Mocked.
Personality: Short tempered with a harsh tongue, Magnar is not known for verbal tactics or offering sympathy. He does not beat around the bush, merely walks right through it. His honesty can be brutal, and his advice even more so. In short, be careful if you ask him for his opinion, he rarely holds back on anyone. Despite his fanged attitude, the young tiger is fiercely loyal to those around him. He does not take threat or insult to himself or his clan mates well, and it may take a fellow member of the council stepping in on occasion, to keep him from attacking some offenders. Aside from his temper, it is rare that a smile touches his lips, except during the excitement of a battle, or at the stupidity of others. He does speak, though it's rarely for idle chatter. If a conversation doesn't seem to serve any significant importance, then Magnar will normally remain silent. It is not that he is ignoring the one speaking with him, he simply does not see the point in talking, just for the sake of doing so.
Key Traits: Irritable and Loyal.
